Available for delivery from January 2015, the all-new Peugeot 308 GT will look to continue the success of their European car of the year. Coming in Estate and SW variations, the 308 GT will look to combine the outstanding performance of the standard model with the sportiness associated with the GT label.

The Peugeot 308 GT keeps many of the elements that made the standard model so popular. This includes the exterior design work, versatile interior and the innovative Peugeot i-Cockpit cabin.

New Styling

The Peugeot lion has been moved onto the front grille, with three horizontal blades on each side, to give the car a more sporty look. Twin exhaust pipes and a lacquered black diffuser give the car a distinctive posture.

For increased visibility, the 308 GT comes with 62 LEDs composing each headlight, providing optimum vision for the driver. The 308 GT sits on 18 inch “Diamant” wheels, with a lowered suspension adding to the sporty feel of the car.

Performance and Speed

Changes to the standard 308 include a more sporty sounding engine, a visual display showing the power and torque delivered, firmer and more responsive steering, and a more responsive accelerator pedal.

The engine has also had an upgrade, with a twin-scroll turbocharger, direct fuel injection system, and a variable valve lift, combining to give a power to weight ratio of 5.85kg/hp. The four cylinder 1.6 litre THP 205 Stop & Start petrol engine comes with a six speed manual gearbox to make the most of the high level of performance.

One other change to the standard 308 is the driving position, vitally important to a sports-oriented car. The driver can adjust the steering wheel position to suit. Combined with the Peugeot i-Cockpit technology, this provides excellent ergonomics.
